XREFTYPE
- Specifies how external references (Xref) are inserted. When attaching an Xref to a drawing, you can choose either the Attach or Overlay method.
1. Setting the External File Insertion Method Demo Video
Section titled “1. Setting the External File Insertion Method Demo Video”1) Run the “XREFTYPE” command in the Command Input Window.
2) Enter the desired option.
- OFF: Inserts the external reference as a regular attachment (Attach method).
If this drawing is later loaded as an Xref into another drawing, the nested Xref comes along with it. - ON: Inserts the external reference as an overlay (Overlay method).
If this drawing is later loaded as an Xref into another drawing, the overlaid Xref does not come along with it.
3) Press ENTER or the SPACE BAR to apply the setting.
4) Any Xref inserted afterward is applied using the specified default method (Attach or Overlay).
